ABOUT

Eastmark Farm was established in 2016 in Kennebunk, Maine as a quarter horse equine facility focusing on the professionalism and passion of riding a horse.

The farm is situated just moments from Interstate 95, Exit 25 and is nearby to Old Orchard Beach, Biddeford Pool, Arundel, Kennebunkport, Wells, Sanford, Ogunquit, and York.  Kennebunk Elementary School is right in our back yard, while Middle School of the Kennebunks and Kennebunk High School are also only a short distance away.

Eastmark Farm is conveniently located and perfectly suited for both youth and adults.

Vacationing nearby and want to experience farm life or bring your horse on vacation with you?  We offer beginner packages that cater to the enjoyment of a horseback ride while also offering weekly boarding (subject to availability).  Check out our services page for offerings and pricing.

Lastly, we highly encourage you to sign up for our mailing list to be the first to receive information regarding boarding availability, lesson information, upcoming events, and destination trips planned for the year.

Be sure to connect with us on social media and we certainly hope to meet you soon on the farm!

STAFF

Susan Smith
Owner

Susan has always had a passion for horses.  She was born and raised on her families horse farm where she took on tasks of increasing responsibility as she got older.  She did everything from mucking stalls to teaching lessons during the summer camp program.  She also broke green horses along with her fair share of getting bucked off.  While working at the farm she also became an avid rider with advanced skills winning many classes in Connecticut, Regionally, and Nationally such as 1971 National AQHA Youth Activity Trail Class Winner.  Susan has a passion for training horses and riders with a simplistic approach that requires patience and persistence.

Barry Jones
Farm Hand

Barry is Jassy's significant other, working as a firefighter for the local community.  In his downtime he enjoys switching gears and mowing the fields, maintaining the grounds, and assisting with all the other tasks involved in maintaining the farm.  If you bring your significant other along, Barry is known for having some local brews and cigars that he's always willing to share.

Dennis Smith
Owner

Dennis is Susan's better half.  He enjoys an occasional horse ride but you're more likely to find him on the tractor.  He's the tractor man that can fix just about anything.  You'll likely meet Dennis in the afternoon while he's watching Susan train the horses.

Jassy Jones
Marketing

With a blue ribbon in lead line barrel racing at the age of 6, Jassy decided to stop while she was ahead (or maybe Mom was tired of running in front of the horse around barrels in a show ring).  Either way, having been out of the saddle for many years, Jassy now participates in regular riding lessons at East Mark farm while helping behind the scenes on the marketing and communications for the farm.  Have a suggestion or an idea - reach out and let her know.

Catch
Resident Frisbee Getter

Every good horse farm needs a resident dog.  Catch is still a puppy who loves to play and run fast.  If you see him be sure to toss a stick, ball, frisbee, or any other catch-able object and he'll love you forever.
